Cosmetics renews itself with ancient compounds: thermal water and peat
The new cosmetic line combines the beneficial qualities of the Bromo-Iodic
salty water of Terme della Versilia-Villa Undulna and the active
principles taken from the vegetable extracts. The fount of mineral water
springs out pure and bacteria-free only at few steps from the sea in the
heart of Versilia, in the park of Villa Undulna. In the depths of rocks,
at about 90 meters, the water enriches itself with mineral salts, with
oligoelements such as bromine, iodium, iron, manganese, nickel and zinc,
used also in our thermal cosmetic line.
In the new cosmetic line the thermal water of Villa Undulna is joined to
vegetal extracts and are selectioned many active principles which
moisturize the skin, regenerate skin’s appearance and give elasticity in
natural way; in particular carbohydrates of vegetal origin with a
moisturizing action, organic acids with antioxidant action, vitamins, and
polyphenolic and carotenoidic compounds which protect against damages
caused by UVA and UVB rays. It is demonstrated that the water activates
the immune system thus increasing the production of immunoglobulin, it
relaxes muscles and soothes tension.
Thermal water has been mixed with a peat, particularly valuable for its
qualitative and quantitative composition. Peat is the result of the
activity of a specific vegetable species, sphagnum moss, proliferating in
marshes and in areas with a fresh climate and a high rainfall. The
presence of such organisms turns the soil highly acidic, the decomposition
of any vegetable matter is therefore inhibited. Once their vital cycle is
finished, the remains of the sphagnum moss and marsh weeds accumulate
layer by layer. The organic material slowly transforms into peat highly
enriched with mineral salts. This extraordinary creamy peat with its
scar-healing and re-vitalizing properties has been used, since the past,
for the realization of beauty masks and baths. Terme della Versilia
introduces this magnificent active principle in the new thermal cosmetic
line for body and face. Peat cleanses, drains, works as an antiseptic,
accelerates the scar healing process, balances the pH of the skin and
favours its renewal, reducing the ageing signs, guaranteeing a natural
beauty to face and body.
